Cream butter, sour cream, until light in color. Add ,sugar, eggs , vanilla extract, and almond extract just until combined.
In a separate mixing bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet in three additions.
Roll out your dough on a floured surface, cut out shapes, place on a parchment lined cookie sheet, placed immediately into the oven.
Do not let your dough get warm, refrigerate your cookies that are waiting to go into the oven . (if your dough gets warm then the cookies will not keep shape as well)
(Place cold cookies directly from the refrigerator into the hot oven).
This way the cookies will not lose their shape if you refrigerate them after you cut them out.
